Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Responsible for the preparation of monthly statutory accounts and reporting in the Financial Management Systems viz Hermes, Management reporting, etc., after these reports are reviewed and approved by designated manager/s

• Responsible for preparation of business cases on various projects and capital cost on need basis within the timeline required

• Consistent periodic review of PEX and procurement benefits measurements

• Responsible for the preparation of quarterly forecasts for review by FC & CFO and upload data in hermes4cast system after approval by management

• Assist in the preparation of various presentations required for FC & CFO

• Responsible for preparation of
- Actual against Budget/target on periodic basis and doing all variance analysis.
- Business activities, revenue and expense budgets for all activities

• Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and coordinating with external auditors and tax authority and personnel.

• Prepare and submit the reports and analysis as required by business managers and other statutory reports.

• Assist in maintaining database and reporting systems of pertinent information for use of tracking and analyzing future plans and forecasts.

• Handling Capital expenditure review and approval process. Ensure to upload budgets accurately in capital monitoring system, review of each requisition to ensure timely and relevant approval process. Finding new ways and supporting for better capital assets management.

• Assist Financial controller and CFO for successful delivery of objectives namely business partnering, take cost out, succession planning, risk assessment, training and development of reporting team and support system reengineering and implementation and ad-hoc analytical assignments.

• Assist Financial controller and CFO where necessary, in ensuring management of the books of accounts by the terminal allowing for timely & accurate decision making.

• Other adhoc activities in supporting other functional areas as directed by FC / CFO.

Requirements

• Education:
Requires a Master’s Degree in accounting or Qualification as a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant or equivalent is required. Solid knowledge and experience with IFRS standards is a key requirement.

• Experience:
Experience in general accounting and finance functions preferred though not essential

• Knowledge:
- Must have thorough understanding and working knowledge of accounting specific software.
- Requires proficiency in various software applications and programs, specifically EXCEL spreadsheets. Knowledge of Tally/Quicken Money / IFS will be an advantage.
- Preferred working knowledge of SAP/Oracle/Hyperion.

• Skills:
- Requires good verbal and written communications skills, in addition to effective interpersonal skills.
- Requires excellent analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data.
- Requires exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Must have aptitude to exercise discretion and good judgment
- Must be able to handle company information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Requires strong ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written.
