Manager - Anti Money Laundering

Job description / Role

Responsible to ensure the regulatory soundness of the Banks transactions and business dealings, performing compliance reviews of business units, prepare regulatory filings, prepare and revise compliance manuals, and address AML regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

1. Assist in conducting AML/CFT monitoring & surveillance and regulatory investigations for purpose of reporting to Management, Regulators and relevant Authorities.
2. Assist in establishing and maintaining compliance & AML policies and procedures which would support the objectives and values of the bank.
3. Coordinate with relevant authorities on matters of Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism.
4. Assist in KYC, client due diligence, sanctions matching, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), screening, transaction monitoring, and investigation and reporting of suspicious transactions.
5. Work with the Compliance team to ensure that the bank is promptly updated of all regulation.
6. Assist in reviewing new products, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
7. Carry out reviews as required by Regulators/ Legal Authorities. Follow-up replies to the regulatory authorities.
8. Prepare various periodical/adhoc reports, as required by statutory authorities or management.
9. Assist in providing Compliance / AML training to the staff.
10. Performs a variety of tasks within the general scope of the job and others that may be assigned by the management.
11. Having the authority to act independently & report to senior manager and should have the direct access to customer identification data & other CDD information, transaction records and other relevant information.
