Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Managing , re-engineering and develop all activities in the general processing section within Central Operations(Account opening CBG/WBG Term deposits, Ministry of social affairs accounts, Account maintenance for CBG/WBG, Debit card issuance) for both conventional, Islamic Banking.

Team Management:
- Manage all staff reporting to position so as to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate & monitor their activities.
- Manage/liaise with branches & other departments to ensure processing of their products is according to agreed SLA & meets the standard requirement of the bank.
- Undertake proactive annual leave planning, regular staff communication, and delivery of deadlines, staff training & coaching & evaluation of staff performance.
- Manage and develop training plan for newly recruited staff as well as direct reporting staff.

Processing Quality:
- Monitor measure and report process improvements within the department.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicator according to agreed standards & take necessary action to communicate, advise/assist according to performance levels.
- Actively support new initiatives by the bank and seek to provide processing capacity using efficient and effective processes

Communication:
- Communicate and negotiate internally & externally appropriate methods of facilitating processing of transactions.
- Arrange, actively participate & contribute in meetings for projects involving the department

MIS and reporting:
- Produce daily MIS for review of Risk, Service and People while submitting monthly risk analysis highlighting its impact to the bank and make recommendations on mitigating identified risk.
- Ensure officers and staff have up to date job description and they fully understand their roles and responsibilities.

Risk control:
- Undertake regular reviews of processes in the section ensuring that all controls are in place & risk are mitigated.
- Supervise compliance with the requirements of Internal Audit, External Audit as well as the regulations of the Central Bank of the UAE.
- Responsible to maintain, monitor and report the Suspense A/Cs vis a vis its GL related to AWS.
- Provide analytic KRI, and KPI.

Performance management:
- Undertake regular performance review (monthly, quarterly, midyear appraisal & yearly appraisal).
- Maintain accurate and complete individual performance tracking history.
- Maintain accurate performance actions history.
- Produce analytic performance report at both individual & unit level.
- Propose performance corrective plan.
- Organize regular performance recognition ceremony to address high /exceptional performer/achiever.
- Appoint potential future department assistant team leaders/team leaders and produce development plans.
- Provide coaching to individual on career & performance management

Requirements

- University degree preferably in Banking/Commerce (MBA would be an advantage).
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience in Banking with extensive knowledge in Liability & assets products
- Excellent computer skills
- A decision maker and team leader with good management skills.
- Analytically and sound problem solving abilities.
- Proficiency in English language, Arabic an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Knowledge of quality management tools, Operational Risk management & People Management.
