Job Description

The purpose of this role is to lead the Retail Banking Products, Segments and Integrated Distribution Business Finance team for the UAE. This is a business support role. The role will perform activities that align with Regional and Global business needs and requirements and the key client will be the Head of Retail Banking Products and Segments, Integrated Distribution Head for MENAP.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibility is to implement the Retail Banking Products, Segments and Integrated Distribution strategy at a country level and manage the delivery of a professional, effective, responsive and joined-up finance service to the country. To serve as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy and profitability. Key accountabilities include:
1) Providing insights for improved business decision making through regular and accurate financial analysis and reporting of business performance.
2) Drives profitable growth by providing analyses of results while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions
3) Develop insights into underlying Business Drivers, Key Performance Indicators and provide analytics to help business drive agendas
4) Provide business support in preparing robust forecast and budget supported by well articulated assumptions
5) Providing the framework for and translating the business plans into budget/forecast.
6) Analysis on Product margins and channel volume based on reports produced by the SBIM team
7) KPI / metrics creation for inclusion into production of standardized MI by SBIM / FSSC
8) Supervise timely and accurate management and month end reporting
9) Implementing effective financial control processes and framework in accordance with the requirement of Financial Control Policy.
10) Ensure product accounting is in accordance with Group accounting policies. E.g. rewards accounting, DSR accounting etc.
11) Providing advice and guidance on selected areas of finance to key segment stakeholders within confined guidelines
12) Track and ensure that the headcounts are as per plan
13) Represent finance in projects such as system development and implementation, product launches, business development / due diligence etc.
14) Develop understanding of internal fund transfer pricing policy and provide suggestion to drive the retail business growth
15) Develop understanding of RWA and provide recommendation to business to optimize RoRWA
16) Provide business commentaries on performance
17) Cost management and provide recommendations for cost saves
18) Monitor the cost of acquisition and provide recommendations for reducing it
19) Provide advice in respect of IFRS treatment

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

* Relevant retail banking products experience
* Degree in Finance/Accounting
* Preferably ACCA/CMA/CFA qualified
