The RoleThe Role Test the existing Cards business to identify areas for enhancement. Recommend changes to the existing Cards business to improve specifications, performance and profitability. Design, develop and implement new policies and schemes based on the assessed need to promote the use of the Banks card. Design, develop and implement promotional campaigns for cardholders and merchant establishments. Develops and recommends long term and short term plans for developing the card business of the bank, in synergy with other departments of Retail Banking. Develop annual Cards sales plan based on the marketing strategies and overall targets and budgets. Prioritize the overall efforts by services and allocation of resources. Maintain an awareness of developments in Card business to ensure that the bank maintains and develops its competitive position. Monitor the Cards business performance of competitors to ensure that the bank maintains and develops its competitive position. Maintain regular contact with the Sales team and Regional/Branch Managers to keep abreast of any developments in Card business. Identifies the training and developmental priorities of the department in conjunction with the training department and ensures that staff are adequately skilled to meet the future requirements of the bank. |
RequirementsRequirements Requires a bachelor's degree in Marketing / Business / Commerce, or equivalent combination of education and business experience 5 -8 Years professional experience in the retail area with special emphasis in cards Should have very good business acumen and a substantial knowledge of sales. Effective communication skills to interact with all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills Collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality Creativity, with experience activities in ways accomplish set revenues and business targets. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Strong driver of results and speed to market focus Proficiency in MS Office, notably Excel and PowerPoint |
