This person reports to Director Student Services
The purpose of this position is to develop, implement and coordinate counseling programs (career and personal) for University to include counseling with students in the establishment of realistic career plans and objectives, establishing and maintaining liaison with employer representatives; and conducting studies of career development patterns and employment trends to provide input for possible curriculum changes. The position is responsible for supervising the peer tutoring, student employment and internship programs

Requirements
Education : Masters degree in Counseling, Career Counseling; Educational Counseling
Certifications : Certificates related to career and counseling will be an asset
Experience : Minimum of Eight (8) years experience in Student Affairs, in particular counseling; career counseling; guidance and counseling in an educational setting.
Computer Skills : Must be proficient in MS Office applications; Banner experience is desirable
Technical Competencies : Experienced in administering and interpreting vocational and personality assessment tools; experienced in psychological and career theories.
Behavioral Competencies : Maintains confidentiality on all aspects of services; is calm and non-judgmental
