Employment: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for directing the effective utilization of the total electrical distribution system for CCAD and serving as an internal consultant regarding facility electrical systems and emergency power.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensures that available power is properly distributed to all areas of CCAD
- Maintains an appropriate understanding and inventory of emergency power supplies
- Oversees the maintenance of the onsite generators and associated equipment
- Coordinates utilization of electrical power requirements, specifically emergency power
- Serves as a consultant regarding CCAD’s electrical systems and emergency power capabilities
- Analyzes emergency power issues or problems and recommends appropriate changes
- Coordinates the maintenance, construction and installation of emergency power systems
- Determines specifications and approves modifications to existing emergency power equipment and systems original blueprints
- Ensures that contractors adhere to all fire protection and electrical safety requirements and codes

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years relevant experience is required
- Knowledge of national fire protection codes, blueprints IEE Wiring Regulations, ADDC Regulations and electrical tools and practices
- Operational Knowledge of emergency generators and power distribution is required
- Extensive knowledge of operation and maintenance of High Voltage, Medium Voltage and Low Voltage systems
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to speak and write in English is required
- Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
- Health care industry experience is preferred
- Managerial and/or supervisory experience is preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Apprentice trained or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field, is required
