Employment: Full Time

The Manager of Environmental Services directs the development and implementation of an Environmental Services plan to ensure the consistent provision of highest quality services for housekeeping, waste management and the internal and external environment of SMRC. The plan will be Joint Commission International compliant and meet internationally accepted industry quality measurement standards. The Manager of Environmental Services monitors the implementation of the plan and works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve agreed targets and goals, both departmental and organizational. In collaboration with other service areas the Manager of Environmental Services ensures that the recruiting, commissioning, onboarding, orientation and service activation responsibilities are carried out in accordance with Sidra policies and procedures.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides support to the Organization in issues of EVS in cooperation with Infection Control and client staff.
- Provides management of the performance of subcontract service provider organizations to ensure the effective and efficient provision of services to agreed indicators.
- Oversees the development of a capable subcontractor workforce with the skills mix to ensure objectives and targets are met.
- Ensures the supply of quality services in terms of service delivery, efficiency, cost effectiveness and professionalism.
- Provides timely, accurate and considered management advice to the Director Facilities O & M to ensure the department achieves its strategic and operational objectives and targets.
- Manages human, financial and physical resources within the department effectively and efficiently, ensuring budget and performance targets are met.
- Manages contracts relating to the purchase of services, equipment and supplies to maximize cost benefits to the department.
- Liaises with key stakeholders both internal and external in a timely, appropriate and effective manner to develop and maintain excellent ongoing communication.
- Adheres to Sidras standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in a related field from an appropriate, recognized authority.
- 5+ years senior management experience in relevant Environmental Services department either as a service provider or senior employee in a large, modern hospital including 5+ yrs experience with
- Environmental Services standards of the USA and / or Europe
- Experience of preparing /commissioning large new healthcare facilities for occupancy
- Experience in meeting Joint Commission requirements
- Experienced in the utilization of CAFM or Environmental Services software
- Project Planning experience
- Ability to serve in leadership role in conducting meetings and making presentations,
- Demonstrated ability in performing needs assessment and offering recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills -written & oral
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Fluency in written and spoken English
