Job description / Role
The candidate will be working with finance team and will be an experience professional with strong experience; primarily responsible to support Director/Financial Reporting in implementing leading practices in financial reporting, enhance the analytical methodologies and institute preventive and detective controls over financial reporting.
Functions would also include, but not be limited to:
• Manages the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in the required formats and reporting packs including disclosures complying with Corporation’s Accounting Policies against tight timelines.
• Ensures that all financial reports produced by the section are accurate and complete in order to provide relevant and reliable information to stakeholders.
• Develops and implements analytical framework linking financial data with non-financial data to assess reporting accuracy consistent with performance trends.
• Develops and implements preventive and detective controls and performs analytical reviews for continuously enhancing the quality of financial reporting
• Coordinates with budgeting team to achieve alignment between financial reporting and budgets
Requirements
Professionally qualified – CA/ACCA/CPA certification.
5 + years work experience in financial reporting in large organizations preferably Telecoms; Big 4 experience plus.
Good Knowledge of IFRS and its application
Excellent in Excel, Word and Power Point
Good oral and written communication skills and inter-personal skills
Ability to work independently, handle complex issues
Maintaining quality of work within strict deadlines
Self driven, reliable, analytical and detail oriented with flair for numbers
