Manager Groups Optimisation - Qatar Airways - Doha

The Manager Groups Optimisation is responsible for leading and implementing revenue optimisation group policies and strategies to maximise revenue whilst limiting risk to seat inventory. This role is responsible for achieving defined revenue optimisation KPI's for the groups unit.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensures all data reporting is in place to analyse group travel inventory requests and group revenue performance in accordance with budgets, SLA's and targets.
- Ensures appropriate inventory controls and contractual conditions are in place to protect QR inventory and drive unit revenue growth, year on year with a special focus on revenue displacement analysis.
- Directs and implements suitable strategies for group revenue management.
- Leads a team to direct and manage inventory strategies for large group traffic flow movements.
- Works collaboratively to establish revenue expectations, priorities and monitors performance for QR group business.
- Project management of a cross functional initiative aimed at restructuring and improving the overall system and group experience for QR customers.
- Makes decision on group appeals and requests for changes outside of normal policy and procedure.
- Leads and manages projects and the team to improve automation and efficiency of the group evaluation process, reports and systems
- Ensure the system, team and RM is using proper parameters settings in the system to maximize unit revenues and improving auto-acceptance rates.
- Improves and measures group materialisation forecast by focusing on the quality group traffic and coordination with the sales organisation

Requirements

You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum of 7 years of job-related experience. You must have good knowledge and background of Groups Management Systems. You must have good understanding of the core concepts driving the airline economics and industry business rationale.

You must have good working knowledge of Amadeus and Revenue Management reports and tools. You must be able to translate detailed data into clear concise findings.

You must have ability to take ownership, responsibility and accountability on the assigned target or areas. You must be able to partner with team members to create and monitor action plans. Ability to work in a fast paced team environment with minimal supervision is essential. You must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
