Manager – HVAC

Job description / Role

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of assigned personnel and contributing input to decisions on proper equipment designs, installations and operating procedures for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) activities at CCAD.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyzes problems and determines work to be performed
• Establishes priorities based on workload and available manpower
• Reviews inventory and initiates purchase requests as appropriate
• Contributes input to decisions on equipment design and installation
• Ensures that equipment installation and construction meet contract specifications
• Provides input on budgets for operation, contracts and capital equipment
• Develops and initiates training and operating procedures for respective work area/shop
• Makes recommendations for preventative maintenance on new equipment
• Manages assigned area/shop personnel

Requirements

• Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years facilities or operations experience is required
• Experience as a fully qualified tradesman or technician is required
• Knowledge of facility management and preventative maintenance best practices
• Proficient in the use of PCs, spreadsheets and other software applications
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to speak and write in English is required
• Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
• Health care industry experience is preferred
• Managerial and/or supervisory experience is preferred
