Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
A Communications professional who handles internal communications to present and maintain a positive image of the bank internally and support employee engagement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
a) To develop and implement internal communications plans, in line with corporate communications strategy.
b) To create, manage, maintain and monitor the use of Bank’s communication platforms and channels to ensure that they meet business needs and contribute towards building employee engagement.
c) To establish effective and efficient communications processes within the company in a timely and accurate manner.
d) To create compelling and engaging content for internal audiences, such as Newsletter, Intranet, Internal messaging and wherever appropriate.
e) Oversight of internal messaging to ensure timely dissemination to all employees.
f) To content manage, update, and suggest continuous improvement to the Bank’s Intranet.
g) To devise a plan for employee brand ambassadorship and ensure implementation in line with brand promise and corporate communications strategy.
h) To raise CBI’s corporate profile through internal initiatives aimed at boosting staff morale.
i) To ensure that communications activities are carried out to the highest ethical standards and comply with communications strategy.
j) To design, manage, and deliver all bank’s internal events in line with HR’s staff engagement objectives.
k) To develop, maintain and ensure effective use of corporate branding internally, in line with brand communications guidelines.
l) To assist and provide advice and updates to Head of Corp Comms & Marketing on the effectiveness of internal communications plans.
m) To use metrics to measure the efficiency of internal comunications campaigns to continually adjust and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism or communications.

Professional / Technical Qualifications / Diplomas:
• PR / Communication Skills mandatory

Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of related experience in internal communication, excellent speaking skills and a strong ability to write and edit to present internal releases

Specialist Skills Required for the Job:
• Knowledge of and experience across all forms of communications including social media
• Supervision and managerial skills
• Negotiation and convincing skills
• Adequate knowledge of the different products and services of competitor banks
• Thorough knowledge of the products and services of the Bank
• Organizing and planning
• Interpersonal skills
