Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Recruit international students by representing the college in local communities, organizations and schools, agencies, embassies, and through international contacts.
- Promote awareness of the college International Students Program; develop advertising and marketing plans and materials, including catalogs, brochures, website and application materials.
- Oversee the admission of international students, maintain accurate records and compliance with mandated immigration regulations, explain, interpret and apply immigration regulations relating to international students; monitor admissions to ensure conformance with district admission policy, prepare and maintain detailed and comprehensive reports, records and files regarding program students, personnel, facilities and activities.
- Oversee the matriculation process for international students, including orientation, assessment testing, counseling and registration; monitor student academic eligibility; conduct workshops and meetings designed to assist international students in achieving academic and career goals.
- Provide advice and assistance to international students regarding support services, including acculturation programs, housing resources, employment resources, foreign financial aid and scholarships, and health insurance coverage.
- Responsible for the placement of the students in local companies for internship training and monitoring of the same.
- Learn and apply emerging technologies and advances (e.g., computer software applications) as necessary to perform duties in an efficient, organized, and timely manner.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the disabilities and diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of students.
- Monitoring and evaluating on the job training for the welfare of the students.
- Responsible for collecting fees in coordination with Faculties and Accounts Department.

Requirements

- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a Master's Degree in a discipline related to the assignment.
- Requires minimum of 5 years related experience, including 3+ years of increasingly responsible admissions experience in a higher education environment using web applications and on-line admissions processes.
- Experience working across different enrollment services business units. Experience in an academic program administration function.
- Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and supervisory skills. Ability to lead an important functional unit by example and team work. Ability to interact with students, faculty, program advisors and senior management consistently and inclusively.
