The RoleThe RoleJob Purpose Perform variety of duties as directed by the AGM - Corporate Communications including assisting in the development and implementation of various IR programs, plans and strategies. The jobholder will be responsible for the execution of Investor relations plans and activities for a specific segment of the community. Key Responsibilities 1. Evaluate offers and proposals of sponsorships that promote the corporate image as a caring member in Kuwaiti society, prepare reports on the findings to the management and ensure all approvals are within the budget. 2. Develop Investor relations programs and timelines manage all tasks related to the bank’s participation in sponsorships and exhibitions. Perform budgeting and actual acquisition of the bank’s promotional items and sponsorships. Prepare and follow-up settlements of all invoices related to bank’s Public Relations. 3. Conduct market research and Identify best prices and quality products for corporate promotional gift items and giveaway. Ensure proper purchasing, distribution, storage easy access as approved by management. 4. Conduct media relations, including responding to inquiries from the media hotline, booking media tours and arranging interviews for Burgan members and accompany reporter of International press agent on visits. Organize the orientation visits by various educational institutions. 5. Serve as a liaison between business groups, advertising agencies & other outside vendors for related activities. 6. Design and execute internal communication programs to support ongoing activities of various departments and initiatives. Supervise and control the bank’s newsletter, assess and edit articles for internal releases in coordination with AGM - CCD to ensure desired messages are delivered to staff in an effective and positive manner. 7. Organize and attend community activities and contacts, represent the bank at various community events to enhance the bank’s image. 8. Plan and supervise the Bank’s annual prize distribution for “ALMAS Award Scheme” community service program for the handicapped. Organize special occasion activities for the local humanitarian events “Handicapped Society” and submit proposals with recommendations to AGM for approval. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe ideal candidate would possess the following: 1. BS or BA in Accounting/Finance/Economics 2. 5-7 years experience in Financial Services, preferably Investor Relations and/or Client Service with some exposure to accounting and performance reporting 3. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues 4. Strong client relationship skills and ability to build / enhance relationships with the banks public 5. Excellent communications and presentation skills 6. Analytical skills 7. Excellent networking skills / abilities 8. Ability to translate financial data into communications platforms 9. Excellent writing skills – English / Arabic 10. Strong knowledge of the Kuwaiti / GCC Stock Market 11. Good PC skills (Excel / Word / PowerPoint ) |
