The RoleThe RolePosition: Manager Islamic Syndication Overview: This role is responsible for developing and growing profitable long-term relationships with Local and International corporates, and Government clients in GCC. The role holder is also responsible for establishing a good understanding of client needs and delivering solutions across Debt Market product lines for the assigned group of multinational and corporate clients, gaining significant business and sustainable returns for the Bank. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting in developing a strategy and an operational plan for ensuring achievement of asset expansion and revenue targets across fund and fee based products from a targeted base of Corporate Banking clients based in UAE, GCC and international Ensuring relationship retention, development and maintenance of targets by continuously exploring and closing cross sell opportunities. Expanding share of wallet from key clients Managing the less complex relationships independently under the minimal supervision of team leaders and seeking opportunities to structure, manage & price more complex transactions and relationships Maintaining and enhancing relationships with key customer accounts and prospective customers to ensure business continuity and growth. Growing assets and liabilities to enhance the profitability of the account Ensuring timely renewal of portfolio of accounts assigned and arranging to obtain and review related information for the same for the credit analysis unit Executing Syndication transactions for the Bank along with Head of Syndications & IPO Ensuring quality of the credit portfolio is maintained by reviewing all proposals, identifying and assessing all risk inherent in credit exposures. Recommending, rejecting or approving credit facilities, within prescribed limits, after a comprehensive analysis Increasing the profile of the Bank in the Debt market by originating and distributing deals at IMLA levels Originating activities across Syndication business lines and ensuring efficient and effective delivery within the time-line Developing appropriate industry knowledge and keeping up to date with market developments Understanding and ensuring compliance of all relevant internal compliance requirements, external regulations and statutes within UAE and other participating jurisdictions that apply to the conduct of the business involved Coordinating with the credit analysts team and supporting staff in the on going delivery/coordination with the syndication time line requirements Accurate deal reporting within internal MIS Maintaining ongoing relationships with key bank corporate customers and bank relationships |
