Job description / Role
- Ensure Company meets and abides by all statutory regulations of State of Qatar
- Represents the company in all Government departments to include but not limited to Labor Department, Immigration Department, Police, CIED, Chamber of Commerce, QCDD, Kahraama etc.
- To form a part of negotiations with subcontractors, suppliers and other service providers to ensure company interests are protected legally and contractually
- To liaise with current and prospective clients, main contractors and other stake holders consolidating current business and seeking new business opportunities
- To provide Legal advice to Op Co and HODs as required and facilitate action
- Represent the company in case of any law suits filed against the company and ensure company interests are protected
- To advise and/or to prepare Contractual notifications in accordance with Contract requirements
- Liaison with Government authorities to build relationships
- Provide Legal advice on Agreement with Subcontractor/Suppliers, Service providers
- Support Contracts & Commercial Team in litigation and arbitration process
- Perform any other duty as assigned by the Op Co. Head
Requirements
- Graduate / Bachelor's of Law
- Experience in an International law firm at the level of Corporate/Business Unit
- Prior experience within MEP industry would be advantageous
- Candidate should be a citizen from an Arab Country / Qatari is preferred
