Based in Dubai, UAE

A leading diversified business entity representing some of the world's most renowned brands in the Automobile, Fashion, Jewellery, Perfume & Cosmetics, Publishing as well as Business & Service industries is currently seeking a Manager for their Logistics Services to be based in Dubai, UAE.

Reporting to the General Manager - Logistics, your key responsibility is to ensure full compliance of all logistics services provided. You will also provide expertise on warehousing processes and systems and project manage all expansion and improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the GM Logistics to direct the development of logistics function, establishing appropriate structures & processes.
• Develop and implement best practice work processes & flows and ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place and followed to cover key areas of logistics activity.
• Establish and manage effective relationships and service levels [SLA’s] with business partners
• Assist warehouse managers to ensure that the logistics function is staffed with the requisite numbers and calibre of staff to meet its objective & establish health & safety procedures and ensure compliance of all municipal and health & safety regulations.
• Establish good relations with Customs and other Governmental Authorities, ensuring compliance with all regulations and procedures.

Requirements


Requirements

• Degree in Operations Management/ Business or equivalent
• Minimum 6 years relevant work experience in warehousing, storage, retail and administration supplemented with execution experience of setting up or modernisation of logistics/ warehouse/ distribution facility.
• The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management;
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally whilst offering creative solutions;
• Must be IT literate with the ability to handle electronic data;
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills;
