The RoleThe RoleOur Client is the indisputable regional market leader in the conference and training sector and in line with the company strategy and continued success they are look to expand even further. The Manager – Managed Events, will work closely with the Group Director for Special & Managed Events. They will primarily be responsible for planning, organising and controlling of a range of events and activities on behalf of external clients and fulfill and execute custom driven events and activities and all aspects of the event organisation. Events will be business related and include: Conferences, Roadshows, Product launches/updates, Seminars, Internal Sales Meetings, Corporate days etc. Main Job Responsibilities include: • Maintain a ‘master’ Managed Events, list containing accurate, complete and current details of all projects • To liaise with internal departments and contacts to ensure Managed Events do not compete with clients own conference and event schedules and ensure all administrative systems and procedures are followed • To liaise with external event partners, agents and groups to ensure continuity of event organisation and planning • To manage and coordinate all assigned Managed Events on site, when and where required • Work within specific budget guidelines and tightly track project expenses • To create and proof-read Managed Events print literature, web site and online marketing material and ensure • Secure and manage hotel venues, A/V and all other suppliers and materials required for the events • Liaise with internal departments to ensure design, layout and content of the marketing materials is within corporate guidelines • Take responsibility for the on the day management of each designated project You will be of graduate calibre with 2-3 years events experience preferably in Conferences, in a support role where working accurately and to deadlines is a prerequisite. You must be able to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines and have a keen eye for detail. You must demonstrate fluency in written and spoken English and be familiar with supplier processes, orders and procedures. Arabic would be an advantage but not necessary. |
