The Role


General Description/Purpose
• Assure proper recording of master data for various components of the SAP system.
• Manage the User Access Control function
• Co-ordinate the periodic Data Quality Audit activity
• Review functional specifications and/ or assist in formulating detailed functional specifications in respect of proposed changes to IT systems specific to data management

Specific job functions:

Oversee master data input and ensure completion of tasks within agreed turnaround times
User Access Control management
Data Quality Audit and follow up
Business User support during implementation of IT systems,
Assist in providing feedback & awareness to operating units.
Where required, provide guidance in formulating product/functional specifications and guidelines.

Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years operational experience in Data and/or System Administration

Skills/ Abilities:
• Well-versed in the English language; knowledge of the Arabic language will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of clients Corporate Data Model and its various components
• Knowledge of SAP functionalities in respect of data administration
• Knowledge of Data Management and Access Control principles/standards
• Knowledge of clients products/ services and departmental structure/ functions
• Verbal Communication for regularly attended meetings with staff/ management/ consultants.
• Customer Service orientation
• Well organized
• Willingness to assist/ train others

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and carry out Master Data creation and maintenance
• Ensure completion of Master Data creation and maintenance within agreed service delivery objectives and timelines.
• Carry out all activities relating to User Access assignment within agreed timelines and ensuring proper segregation of duties and in line with approved Authorisation matrices.
• Liaise with business units, as necessary, to clarify possible breach of policy guidelines in respect of User Management
• Arrange periodic reports to User department management providing details of access assigned to Users within each department.
• Carry out Data Quality audit to identify missing, inconsistent and/or incorrect data in the system and report details to the relevant User department
• Follow up with User department(s) to ensure availability of accurate and up-to-date data
• Develop detailed policies and guidelines in respect of Master Data Management and User Access Controls.
• Ensure that Key Performance Measures and assessment reports to track progress on status of Data Quality follow up are in place and that these are complied with.
• Identify and recommend techniques to improve awareness and utilization of procedures and policies.
• Assist other subsidiaries of the client, as required, in aspects of Data Management, Access Controls, etc.
• Development and/or review of functional specifications of IT system changes
• Supervision and/or support during the data migration, acceptance testing and implementation of the ERP and/or other IT systems, as applicable

Others
• Comply with standard procedures and policies
• Liaison with user departments as necessary
• Provide necessary inputs to Internal Audit as required
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in accordance with defined policies and processes, to achieve common objectives.
• Partake, as trainee, in training courses initiated by the HR Department
• Undertake adhoc activities/responsibilities that may be assigned
