Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Planning and Implementation
• Develop and implement Annual Internal Communication strategy, including key messages aligned with business strategy
• Develop and implement Monthly Internal Communication plan with detailed activities per business unit

2. Employee Engagement Management
• Responsible for the design of company web pages, including graphics, animation and functionality.
• To develop web page infrastructure and application related to pages with more advanced graphics and features.
• Producing a design that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required
• To monitor web server and site technical performance.
• Implementing search engine optimisation strategies.
• Promoting website online to increase prominence where possible.
• oversee the writing web pages in a combination of codes, such as HTML and XHTML, CSS, Javascript, Actionscript, SharePoint, .Net, Flash, or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio;
• deciding on how images and other material will be digitally optimised and presented for the web;
• ensuring that material on the web site is accessible to all groups including those with disabilities;
• testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions
• Circulate efficient and accurate reporting, detailing results of each web marketing campaign and possible improvement
• Advise Director on the improvement, results, competition and new direction in technology to assist with marketing of the brand.
• Maximise online affiliate opportunities and revenue generation for the brand (with possibility of widening affiliate advertising schemes)
• Ensure regular communication and email contact with affiliates and act as main point of contact
• Fixing errors.

3. People Management
• Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving

Requirements

Knowledge / Technical Skills
• Advanced knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXPress and Illustrator with formal training an asset.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, PHP and dynamic HTML; experience with Macromedia Flash
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
• Experience working on a Mac platform
• Experience working in a communications environment
• Very good spoken and written English and Arabic

Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications or other discipline related to the primary responsibilities

Experience
Two to four years of demonstrated experience in web design
