Employment: Full Time

The Manager - Patient Reporting and Support is responsible for managing the revenue cycle training function, leading performance improvement within revenue cycle and providing direct and indirect support to the revenue cycle team. In the training role, the Manager develops training materials in collaboration with other stakeholders and conducts formal and informal training sessions to meet the needs of different users. The incumbent also acts as the lead performance improvement officer within revenue cycle and oversees quality monitoring and assurance activities. He/ She leads the provision of technical and operational support to all staff involved in the revenue cycle operations.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Performs the necessary assessments and evaluations to identify training needs for the revenue cycle team and other stakeholders.
Develops revenue cycle training materials in various formats to fit the needs of different users.
Develops annual training plans and schedules.
Works with the Cerner and Lawson technical teams to develop technical training and system manuals.
Leads the delivery of training to the revenue cycle staff and other stakeholders.
Maintains training records including competency checklists and staff achievements.
Manages the performance improvement function within revenue cycle.
Develops and maintains appropriate level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Performs data collection activities as required.
Analyzes data to identify areas for improvement and leads identified improvement activities.
Provides technical and operational support to the revenue cycle team.
Works with the revenue cycle team to identify areas for system improvements/ modifications and communicates such requirements to the concerned IT team.
Leads the development of system reports with end-users and IT teams.
Liaises with the IT team regarding system issues.
Oversees the reporting and resolution of technical incidents related to revenue cycle operations.
Works with the IT team and end-users to ensure proper and timely deployment of maintenance and upgrades.
Disseminates information to the revenue cycle team concerning system changes and updates.
Identifies and requests additional technical support in accordance with approved operational policies and procedures.
Meets, on a regular basis, with other revenue cycle managers to address their training and support needs.
Adheres to Sidras standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Information Systems, healthcare or relevant discipline.
7+ years experience in a health care organization including:
- 3+ years experience working with Cerner Health Information System.
- 2+ years experience in Revenue Cycle.
- 5+ years experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Ability to manage staff who will be responsible for timely training of Sidra Revenue Cycle staff.
Ability to provide support for insurance coverage queries from staff and patients.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of insurance industry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
