Job description / Role
Our client is one of the largest Alumnium company in the region. They are seeking a power and desalination (P&D) plant Instrumentation and Control (I&C) maintenance manager to be based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintains, modifies/ upgrades cost effective instrument services for I&C equipment in Power and Desalination Plant (to achieve maximization of water production, as applicable).
* Plans and executes I&C maintenance projects for sustainable power and water supplies to the Taweelah smelter complex, by maximizing the availability of gas and steam turbine units and other major balance of plant equipment.
* Develops and oversees the implementation of functional policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of the I&C maintenance function so that all relevant procedural/statutory requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, costeffective service in a consistent manner.
* Adheres to all EHS policies, practices and procedures thus minimizing the risk of workplace accidents and injuries.
* Analyses, prepares and recommends the annual budget for Power IMD.
* Recruits, trains and develops department staff to maintain a cohesive and competent workforce.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics (or Electrical Engineering with advanced subjects in Automation & Control Systems, Networks and Computer Science), or an equivalent qualification
* Fifteen(15) years' experience in a heavy duty turbine combined cycle power plant, out of which Five (5) years' in similar supervisory position.
* Hands on experience with Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Waste Heat Recovery Boilers, control systems and DCS (GE, Allen Bradley), field instruments, PLCs (GE Fanuc, Allen-Bradley), Reverse Osmosis plant, MSF/MED Plant
* Experience in planning and implementing equipment outage programmes
