Job Description

The purpose of this role is to:
1. Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day Credit/ Business client monitoring controls as well as timely identification and resolution of deficiencies in processes and emerging risks.
2. Ensure risk framework executed within Operational Risk guidelines. Timely escalation process, risks identified is highlighted in operational risk forums through the chain. Risk escalation to follow based on risk assessment & residual risk.
3. Ensure satisfactory Audit outcomes

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Credit/ Business Monitoring

* Excess management & follow-up for tracking closure of excess granted to the customers (approved & unapproved cases).
* Past dues / Overdue report/LBD Past Due Monitoring (Cheque Discounting), Following up with CC RM for clearance overdue items.
* FX Past Due / Failed Trades/MTM (Mark to Market) monitoring & follow-up with CC RM and TSM for closure based on in-country process & group guidelines. Any deviation to the process needs to be escalated. Also responsible for fortnight MTM Call/Meeting.
* Compliance of Credit Policy i.e. follow-up Problem A/c Management.
* Managing overdue BCA / CCRT (Credit Approval & Monitoring) & follow-up for tracking.
* eCDD (Customer Due Diligence) follow-up & tracking closure.
* Suspicious Account/ Transaction reporting & tracking open cases for effective resolution.
* Managing pending Trade Offerings, Outstanding - follow up with RMs to release the pending offerings and follow escalation matrix. Also conduct Monthly Health check for Trade released offerings.
* Proactively monitor the risk profile and quality of the portfolio. This includes:
a. Internal & External Audit
b. Anti-money laundering (AML).
c. Compliance requirements with high attention on Reputation risk, Alertness to AML and sanctions procedures and Strict prohibited from miss-selling activities.
d. Ensure Credit Risk training for new joiners as well as existing staff.
e. Demonstrate effective Health and safety management

* Business Support

a. Liaise with CRC/Credit to resolve any operational/system Issues/Process.
b. Monitor trade profile is in terms of revenue and balance.
c. Support Finance and Credit on Trade and RCMS for balance, product, GL and systems.
d. Ensure smooth migration/on boarding for any new changes in process and Trade systems.
e. Conduct investigation to rectify errors or to establish/clarify facts of TP.
f. Ensure smooth process flow on Filenet for TP profile creation.
* Develop MIS covering excesses, trade limits and outstanding in CC portfolio. Obtain system amendments to facilitate reporting systems and MIS that is both comprehensive and timely.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

1. Degree holder, minimum 7 years of Banking experience, in products or sales or processes.

3. Proficiencies and Knowledge:
* Commercial Clients / SME product knowledge
* Effective ability to monitor day-to-day escalation process & track closure.

* Analytical skills.
* Understanding of Operational risks is an added advantage.
