Manager – Property & Retail

Job description / Role

Bahrain Airport Company’s Commercial & Marketing division is currently seeking a consummate candidate to lead and manage the property and retail department, by directing negotiations, preparing and processing the enforcement of leases, licenses, contracts, and other revenue generating programs for Bahrain International Airport, leading to sustained non-aeronautical revenues and increased growth. He / She will be responsible for all Property and Real Estate, Retail Concessions, Food and Beverage, Duty Free Concession, Rental Car Concessions, Advertising and Utility Re-charge.

THE MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Developing and implementing the Non-Aeronautical strategic business plan.
• Developing and expanding the Non-Aeronautical commercial revenues generated at BIA, whilst consistently increasing year-on-year revenue growth.
• Coordinating between different BAC divisions and third party contractors regarding property, collection, and leasing issues.
• Reviewing and enhancing the currently available system for benchmarking of relevant commercial activity KPIs.
• Preparing the annual Non-Aeronautical revenues budget for all retail and property, including but not limited to Retail Concessions, Food and Beverage, Property and Real Estate, Rental Car Concessions, Advertising, Other Income, Utilities Charges and Airport Management Charges.
• Ensuring that the leasing of BIA is in compliance with the Bahrain Tender Board (BTB) rules and regulations.
• Being the initial point of contact for all BIA tenants and maintaining open and regular communications with major tenants and stakeholders.
• Attracting New Business through leveraging commercial opportunities

Requirements

BAC IS SEEKING CANDIDATES WHO MEET OR EXCEED, THE MINIMUM CRITERIA LISTED BELOW:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Business or equivalent (Master’s Degree is desired)
• Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Retail / Real Estate
• Experience in negotiating leases and preparing revenue budgets for real estate.
• Experience in managing revenues and budgets.
• Possess a proven track record in property or retail management is an advantage.

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH AIRPORT EXPERIENCE.
