Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

JOB PURPOSE:
- To manage all quality checks on system enhancements and new system implementations end to end starting with comprehensive test planning till end user sign-off.
- Manage a team of testers who performs end to end qulaity Testing and ensure production releaseses pass the quality checks before handing over to end users for testing and production release.
- To ensure adherence to UAT Governance and methodolgy. To create a knowledge pool of all ADCB systems and a Test Case data base.
- To engage business users to create relevant business scenarios for the testings and build comprehensive test scripts and ensure execution of the same.
- To provide adequate support to business users for all UATs.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Management Tasks:
- Manage a team of testers who are performing quality checks on system enhancements and new system implementations.
- Structure and manage the system enhancements and new system implementation quality checks requests of all business units of the Bank.
- To initiate, participate and contribute to on-going discussions for all UAT Planning.
- Communicate status to respective business and IT stakeholders for their respective areas on quality checks conducted.
- Ensure all test engineers are trained on all ADCB systems.

2. UAT and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure quality checks are conducted for all system enhancements, projects, production issues and product / parameter set-ups.
- Ensure building quality test cases which covers both positive and negative testing.
- Ensure execution of all test cases and documentation of test results.
- Ensure efficient defect tracking and maintaining all defect tracking logs.
- Ensure quality delivery of enhancements prior to handing over to business for end user testing.
- Communicate to business/Internal IT teams status on quality checks respective to their areas.
- Work closely with all business groups and ensure business support for all UATs.

3. Training:
- Train and educate business users to build business scenarios, conduct UAT, and defect logging.
- Ensure testing team acquires comprehensive knowledge on all ADCB systems
- Build a test case data base which can be re-used and referred to at any given time and a team which has knowledge on all ADCB systems.

Requirements

Minimum Education Level:
- University Degree / Diploma preferably in Computing / Engineering/ Banking / Commerce.

Professional Qualification:
- Ideally qualified in ITIL and in a project management methodology.

Experience:
- At least 8-10 years background software quality assurance function.
- Preferable 5-7 years experience in IT Project Management/Quality
- Preferable 5-7 years experience in banking / financial institute
- Full understanding and experience in business functions and capable in identifying business processes and scenarios.
- Experience in managing a test engineers for system enhancements and projects
- A very good knowledge of written and spoken English is required.
