Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As a Quality Control Manager you will operate within a manufacturing environment where defining and implementing product quality standards are essential in all areas to support the business needs. You will develop your team through employee training and personal development.

Responsibilities include:

* Ensuring that product specifications are created and agreed with customers and that the outputs of these are communicated and embedded into the factory to ensure delivery of consistent high quality products.
* The implementation of systems from delivery of raw material to finished product to ensure product quality.
* Proactively shaping and managing the structure, culture and behavioural values to ensure that the factory is well placed to respond to current and future market demands and opportunities. Understand, challenge and seek to improve on industry "best practice" to drive a continuous improvement philosophy within the brand and customer products.
* Providing support and solutions to the operations teams when product/process challenges arise.
* As part of the management team, drive the optimum compliance with all audits including HACCP, GMP, H&S etc. to reach the highest standards.
* Promoting of the effective team working by developing the QC roles.
* Understanding, challenging and seeking to improve on industry "best practice" to drive a continuous improvement philosophy within the factory.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Degree in food science.
* Five years' quality management experience in food manufacturing.
* Experience of modern manufacturing practices.
* HACCP awareness.
* Audit management experience.
