The RoleThe RoleAreas of Responsibility (AOR) Success Indicators 1. Implement and maintain the Quality, Safety and Security Management Systems, in conjunction with and aligned to Sales, to support the achievement of the Company Quality, Safety and Security Policies and business objectives. 2. Implement and maintain the Regional business process systems and review to ensure the Sales business function is maintained at an approved standard. 3. Provide a comprehensive day to day Quality, Safety and Security Assurance service to support core Sales activities and associated processes. 4. Facilitate the business risk process within Sales Region to identify and minimise any potentially serious threats to the business (HACCP and vehicle safety systems). 5. Record, monitor and report Regional Quality, Safety and Security performance through established method and generating regular reports. 6. Guide the training function to develop Quality, Safety and Security training courses and where necessary to assist with their delivery. 7. Develop and implement a comprehensive audit plan and conduct Regional Quality, Safety and Security Audits, reviews and assessments to identify areas of improvements and to assess over all performance and make recommendations for action. 8. Identify and maximise continual improvement opportunities within the Sales Region and its processes to aid the achievement of Sales business objectives. 9. Manage the Quality, Safety and Security investigation team to identify root causes of incident failure & implement corrective action. |
RequirementsRequirementsDegree in preferably a Food Science or related subject Qualified in Health and Safety to NEBOSH /NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety NVQ Level 4/NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or working towards ISO 9001-2000 Lead Assessor Knowledge & Experience with ISO 22000 2005, 14001, 18001 Familiar with British / European health and safety legislation Membership of any international health and safety organisation / association. 5 years in dairy industry with multi-national organisation in a QA/Safety/Security poistion ISO 9001-2000 experience Experienced in management level. Communicating effectively with a multinational workforce Handling emergency situations. HACCP experience Competencies (Technical, Operational, Managerial, Human & Cultural Requirements): Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills Proven track record of results results oriented Strong presentation and selling skills Positive, professional, attention to detail Conversant with best practice health and safety standards such as outlined by UK HSE code of practice. Good spoken and written English. Be a team player capable of influencing managers at all levels by commanding the respect accorded to the position. Highly motivated and positive outlook A self-starter, capable of working without close supervision. Must be highly organised with a methodical and logical approach to problem solving. Technical: - Good operational knowledge in Driving skills o Good knowledge in international Safety and HACCP codes and their applications o Fully competent on Risk assessment process o Good understanding on Electrical & Mechanical maintenance aspects. o Good knowledge in Industrial Forklift trucks and load moving equipments o Good knowledge in handling hazardous substances Operational: - Must able to lead and command multi task work groups on health and safety aspects o Must able to conduct Health and safety awareness programs independently. o Accident cause analysis and problem solving o Must able to coach managers / Supervisors in Risk assessment process. o Must able to act as arbitrator and mentor in the process of accident investigation. o Must able to carry out audits Managerial: - Able to manage Regional employees and lead them to a Safety culture. o Proficient in writing technical reports. Human / Cultural: Must be able to relate to cultural differences within the workforce and treat all as equal. |
