The RoleThe RoleOur client one of the worlds largest independent shipping, logistics and marine service providers seeks an experienced Manager to head up their large Sefreight Division. Based in Dubai and reporting to the Business Manager, your primary function will be to manage the day to day operations of the Seafreight Department ensuring service delivery targets are met and operational costs are at an acceptable level. Main responsibilities will include: Ensure the Sea Freight Department runs within its operational budget Monitor daily operations & ensure proper client services Produce and provide statistical reports to management for business development purposes Ensure proper employee motivation and performance levels Prepare departmental objectives, procedures, financial targets and strategies to increase revenue Prepare departmental objectives, procedures, financial targets and strategies to increase revenue Manage a group of subordinates to maintain a constant high level of Customer Service in line with Company parameters / principals Develop and maintain relationships with Shipping Lines, authorities, customs and internal departments |
RequirementsRequirementsThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience and competencies: Minimum 10 years industry experience with minimum 5 years being in a similar role (Middle East experience preferred) Superior English Multi-language skills advantage High level knowledge of MS Office Packages Related industry Degree or Diploma.
