Manager – Social Media Business Development

Job description / Role

The person that we are looking to recruit should be a high caliber individual who can communicate across all levels. Who is confident and capable and pays attention to detail. It will be a person who can work independently and who is not daunted by the thought of building a division from scratch in unchartered waters.
This person will preferably have contacts across a number of fields and be able to leverage these to assist in building the status and reputation of my client in the Saudi community, as well as to pin down deals for the site.
Initiative is required for this position as there are always ‘out-of-the-box’ questions and queries when presenting on this initiative – whether to Universities or to Brands. The perfect candidate is one who without promising the world is capable of thinking on their feet and coming up with a solution for the prospective customer that ends up being a business opportunity for us.
This person will need to be someone who instills confidence in people, right from the moment you meet them!

Requirements

An Arabic Speaker - first language – capable of editing written material
Background or connections to Higher Education would be an advantage
Background in Sales/Marketing/Digital a distinct advantage
Existing contacts in retail & leisure an advantage
Good local knowledge
A high caliber individual confident in negotiating at all levels in the market place
Capable of working independently
Shows initiative
Tenacious
Good knowledge of Social Media essential
Politically aware and sensitive
Confident in all MS Office applications, plus Outlook
