Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role is responsible for all content passing through the censorship machines, view and decide the requirement of editing without affecting the continuity of the program and to be always on high alert and supervise a team of Content Executives who carry out the censorship day to day duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Constantly monitor all Pass Through channels to identify which program content may be considered inappropriate for the network
- Possess extensive experience & knowledge of industry standards & practices for classification of content.
- Awareness of censorship laws and regulations including UAE Ministerial and National Media Council guidelines.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic languages & well versed with diverse content from the entertainment industry.
- Technical know-how on content screening & editing to ensure content passed is fit for family viewing.
- Good command over languages and all content genres in English, Arabic, Hindi
- Be updated with the all movies content and its suitability
- Identify suitable replacement material on the Pass Through channel
- Have good relations with the UAE Ministerial and National Media Council authorities to obtain first-hand any new rules & guidelines introduced for content broadcast in the UAE
- Applies guidelines to all program content found to be unsuitable.
- Updated on industry trends, old and new movies and content.
- Possess leadership qualities to coach and guide a team of Content Executives to efficiently carry out censorship activities.
- Maturity and deep understanding of the sensitive nature of the job.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree in related field.
- 8 Years experience in Television/ Media industry or related field in UAE.
- Ability to handle team of employees.
- Ability to handle priority work
