Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Career Center is responsible for guiding students towards appropriate choices of majors, providing career development guidance, internship placements; and full-time and part-time employment opportunities for students and prospective Khalifa University graduates. The Center supports sponsored students and manages all formats of partnerships with local and international employers.

* Lead, manage and supervise the key functions of the Career Center for both Abu Dhabi and Sharjah campuses to include but not be limited to: student sponsorships, internships, graduate placement, Scholarship Office, and summer or temporary employment of the students.

* Facilitate and provide the career development needs of Khalifa university students at different stages of their academic careers at Khalifa University. Included, but not limited to: major choices, career choices, interview techniques, work-environment preparations, resume writing, etc.

* Collect, report,analyze and act upon Career Center data and advise other university leaders as appropriate.

* Solicit, develop and build strong relationship with prospective employers and key Khalifa university personnel and host current and prospective employers on campus.

* Ensure career services are extended to all students regardless of campus or academic level.

* Lead efforts to create and implement marketing plans and programs for the Career Center.

* Facilitate Khalifa university’s participation in career exhibitions or other activities and events.

* Ensure that signed agreements & MOUs are implemented where appropriate.

* Extend the employment opportunities to Khalifa University graduates and alumni..

* Explore joint sponsorship of events and students’ projects with employers and advise the university leadership accordingly.

* Explore training opportunities from specialized employers both inside the country and abroad.

* Prepare, propose and manage the annual budget for the Career Center and its sub-divisions and functions.

* Manage all aspects of the sponsored student program that are assigned to the Career Center.

* Support and facilitate employer’s nationalization plans.

* Other additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

* Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration or equivalent

* At least five years of experience (after degree is earned) in student services in higher education. Working in the Arabian Gulf region is preferred.

* Career services / Counseling certifications are preferred.

* Must have and maintain a valid UAE driver’s license.

* English fluency required, Arabic fluency preferred.
