Manager Sustainability Reporting - Qatar Airways - Doha

The purpose of the role is to manage Qatar Airways (QR) Group-wide approach to measuring, reporting and communicating environmental performance.

The role exists to enable QR to understand the sustainable development expectations of its stakeholders and demonstrate that these expectations have been met. As part of the role, you will work with business units (including airline, airport and subsidiary companies) to agree SMART environmental metrics and performance targets and establish a data management system to collect and collate these.

As a Manager Sustainability Reporting, you will measure, monitor and report QRs performance on issues including climate change, waste, energy and water consumption, air and water quality and wildlife. You will establish and periodically review the effectiveness of QRs environmental metrics, manage the collation of performance data and prepare material to report progress.

A key aspects of the role will include the identification QRs stakeholders and evaluation of their sustainable development expectations, shaping QRs sustainable development narrative and providing communication material to enable effective stakeholder engagement

You will be accountable for the preparation of QRs annual sustainability report and compilation of environmental content for QRs web site.

Requirements

You must have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent, preferably in environmental or communication subject, along with a minimum of 7 years of job related experience.

Experience in the preparation of business sustainability or other corporate reports and in delivering sustained change within large organizations is a must. The preparation of communications materials relating to environmental sustainability and direct involvement with sustainability data management systems is an asset.

We are looking for proactive, dynamic and passionate individuals with excellent commercial and communication skills that are focused on results and works well under pressure. You must have a strong project management and stakeholder management skills. You need to have an ability to set clear direction and manage workflow along with the ability to have informed discussions with design and creative agencies.
