Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role has the responsibility of the day to day management of the Core, Transactional and Products systems and supporting business unit, including Banking Systems, Trade Finance and Treasury solutions. The incumbent is expected to investigate, track, and resolve issues and support requests within the area of responsibility, and should have a sound understanding of the business processes implications, suggest and document solutions, and successfully implement the related requirements. The incumbent should be able to work well under pressure, within a rapidly changing environment and concurrently liaise with multiple stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

a) Provide both technical and functional support to banking applications and systems including software configurations both directly and through team members.

b) Manage business requirements and handle system analysis for Core Banking, Treasury and Trade Finance systems and applications along with related modules.

c) Support queries from various departments and business units, including investigating, logging/tracking, and resolving and proactively working to minimize these.

d) Analyze issues, understand the business and related process, suggest and document solutions, and successfully implement these.

e) Interface with internal users and other system support teams and provide effective application support and handling of technical issues.

f) Effectively manage, optimize and maintain systems in area of responsibility to achieve reduced incidents and meeting and exceeding the service requirements.

g) Proactively participate in, and provide the required support to ongoing projects and assist the successful completion of allocated tasks within the specified timelines and budgets.

h) Provide the required support user acceptance tests with quality assurance and work with the system development/vendors team to ensure successful delivery of requirements.

i) Evaluate and continuously enhance the processes and procedures in area of responsibility to achieve reduced issues and increased consistency in task execution.

j) Proactively work to reduce resolution time of incidents and requested changes in area of responsibility and maintain faster turn-around time.

k) Address and resolve the identified audit and risk related issues within area of responsibility and successfully address and resolve these within the agreed timelines.

l) Create, structure, maintain and appropriately file system documentation in area of responsibility ensuring these are of highest quality and standards.

m) Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the Application Services and Support teams, wider IT Departments, and business stakeholders for efficient systems support.

n) Conduct/attend required training and awareness sessions and share gained knowledge and positively contribute to team members and colleagues knowledge and expertise.

o) Effectively maintain a balanced business unit in terms of Financial, Strategic, Customer Care, Operational, as well as Organizational well being perspectives.

p) Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to reduce costs in area of responsibility and help achieve tangible cost reduction in relation to the identified opportunities.

Requirements

Education:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in computers or information systems or related adequate experience.

Professional / Technical Qualifications / Diplomas:
Technical Support Certifications.
Programming skills and knowledge of Debugging.
Project Management awareness.
Microsoft Certifications.
Hardware & Networking Certifications.

Experience:
8-10 years experience specifically core banking system and interfacing knowledge of front end systems including trade finance, treasury, branch delivery system, CRM, channels and other related banking applications.
