My client a leading logistics and freight forwarding company are looking to recruit a Transport Manager for there operation in Dubai.

Job Purpose:
Assume the responsibility for managing the transportation department. Lead, develop and improve all operations to ensure the company provides the best in industry service standards at optimal operation costs.

To qualify for this you the successful candidate must have experience in working with haulier sub-contractors in the procurement of rates for the outsourcing of work.

Job Account-abilities:
- Manage the staff within the transport operations including dispatching, routing and tracking transportation vehicles.
- Manage a fleet of 25 vehicles including the maintenance and servicing.
- P/L management of the department.

Requirements

To be considered for this role applicants must have a minimum of 6-8 years exposure working in a Transport environment within a freight forwarding company. Must have experience in the procurement of rates with sub-contractor hauliers. Experience in the man management of people. Degree qualified.
