The RoleThe RoleJob Purpose: Manage and lead a team of engineers responsible for planning the development and expansion of advanced broadband wireless networks. Principal Accountabilities / Key Result Areas: Manage a team of engineers responsible for planning and development of advanced broadband wireless networks offering operator-grade telecommunication services with e2e integration to IP core network modules and services. Responsible for RF planning and coverage/capacity analysis. Responsible for development of performance evaluation approaches for trials of new technologies. Coordinate/collaborate with vendors engineering teams. Develop project plans and track execution. Read and understand technical specifications of vendor equipments. Develop progress reports, and abstracted technical specifications. Build and develop intra and inter department processes to enhance and deliver department objectives. Evaluate and study dus business and strategy wireless requirements. Manage and supervise network optimization team and resources. Manage, develop and evaluate subordinates performance and evaluation. Project manage all tasks related to wireless planning deliverables and packages. Identify and monitor Project progress blocking issues, and find and implement corrective action Identify Project Risk factors and remedial actions |
RequirementsRequirementsQualification: B.S. degree or preferably M.S. degree in E.E. from a reputable university. Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Experience: Minimum of 7 years experience with operator or service provider in RF planning and coverage analysis of wireless network. At least 2 years proven record of successful project management. Minimum 2 years experience in supervising more than 2 engineers. Experience in RF planning and coverage analysis tools. Experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking. Experience in capacity analysis, demand prediction, and QoS metrics for broadband wireless data networks. Core Competencies Comes from an operator or service provider background. Deep understanding of RF propagation models and antenna theory. Specifically knowledge of multipath fading, Doppler, interference, and shadowing concepts. Deep understanding of RF and PHY layers of wireless communications system. Specifically knowledge of: modulation, error detection/correction, duplexiing, diversity techniques. Deep understanding of Layer-2 and Layer-3network protocols (Ethernet, IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.16). Expert in at least one RF planning tool. SKILL Proven team working skills. Proven managerial skills. Highly motivated and accommodate working in an ambiguous work environment. Disciplined and pay attention to details. Good communications skills. |
