Job description / Role
Our client is a global leisure destination who are now looking for a Manager of Learning and Development to join their team.
Reporting into the Director of Training you will joining a well established team and responsible for developing, planning and managing the L and D function. The main responsibilities of the role include:
To plan, design and facilitate the delivery of management programs as designated.
To plan, manage and facilitate departmental training.
To develop and manage the departmental trainers
To ensure that regular and consistent departmental training is delivered
Assist in the departmental training audits
To assist in conducting training needs analysis and to plan and deliver the required programs accordingly.
To design the necessary programs as identified in the training needs analysis.
To ensure training records are accurate and up to date
Manage the collection and reporting of training of data
Champion the performance management process
Develop and implement on line learning programs
Coach team members at all levels regarding training and development opportunities.
Assist with budget creation and management
Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a learning and development role as well as experience in managing a team of people. Experience in a hotel, retail or leisure facility would be highly advantageous. The candidate must have superior interpersonal skills, be a team player, have strong presentation skills, be passionate, articulate and positive. Strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and design and delivery skills are essential.
