Manager of Products – Sports Channels

Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit a Product Manager to their Marketing team to manage the conceptualization, design and implementation of marketing products, promotions and pricing strategies for Sports channels in accordance with the firm’s overall corporate strategy

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and managing a high performing product management team; this role is responsible for the following:

• Direct, lead and manage a product management team of 3 product management staff.
• Conceptualize and design marketing products and promotions supported by robust business case.
• Develop and execute marketing products and promotion roadmap.
• Conduct periodic external benchmarks and competitive landscape analysis for similar Pay TV operators globally.
• Define and formalize pricing strategy, product proposition design methodology and business case development process.
• Define and manage the PLM (product life cycle management) process for the marketing agency
• Analyze and report periodically on the existing products and promotions portfolio.
• Define key metrics to measure the success of products and promotions launch.
• Provide periodic marketing products proposition report to the management.

Requirements

The attributes we seek for suitably qualified candidates comprise:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or business related field with a Masters being highly regarded.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a marketing role preferably in media, Pay TV industry.
• Bilingual language skills in Arabic and English would be highly regarded, although not essential.
• Knowledge and understanding of the role of product proposition in the planning and development of the overall marketing strategy including experience in marketing and product proposition, practices and techniques including market trends, media, networking, marketing and promotional trends.
• Knowledge of Sports channels and their output, content and talent would be desirable.
