Omasco is represented across Oman with sales and service teams based in each key city or town. The team in Omasco is highly motivated towards trying to provide an excellent customer experience supported by regular training by the franchise Principals to ensure all products can be properly serviced and maintained.

The company holds exclusive distributorship rights in Oman for many world-class brands including Honda, Panasonic, Toyo, Yanmar, GE, Black & Decker, Raymond Weil, Kolber, Dow, Prominent, Culligan, Alba, BPL, Aftron, Rheem, Hamilton Jet and ADNOC.Reports To: Regional Managing Director

Location: Honda Showroom, Wattayah Main Road, Muscat, Oman

Job Purpose:
To formulate, develop and direct business strategy and activity to achieve budgeted targets for financial and trading performance whilst continually enhancing the organisational culture, value and reputation in the market with all employees, customers, principals and regulatory bodies.

Description:

* To identify, develop and direct the implementation of existing or future business strategy as agreed by the Regional Managing Director which meets the needs of Principals and remains consistent with Omasco corporate policy and procedures.
* To arrive at net sales revenue, net profit and return on investment objectives as per the seasonalised annual budget for all business units and to monitor and control performance via a monthly review and action plan process.
* To plan and implement agreed strategy for HR management and development including search and recruitment, succession planning, motivation, culture and attitudinal development, performance appraisals and quality management issues.
* To promote the mutual best interests and relations of the Principal and Omasco ensuring high personal contact levels to engender favoured Distributor status and first refusal of future internal or external growth opportunities.
* To monitor, evaluate and execute on trends emerging from statistical records of vital business measurements including market share, market pattern shifts, units & parts sales volumes, customer satisfaction scores, customer complaints and productivity ratios to ensure continued progress toward budgeted and forecasted result.
* To actively engage fellow Al-Futtaim Group and industry peers to understand and evaluate contemporary automotive and non-automotive best practises and to incorporate all applicable success factors within the Division
* To ensure all operational activities meet with Omasco corporate requirements for quality management, health & safety, legal stipulations, social responsibilities including localization and general duty of care.

Job Context:
The job exists to drive the best commercial result for Al-Futtaim's joint venture business in Oman by formulating rolling five year strategic plans that continue to deliver the growth objectives of its Partners. The job holder is required to manage Automotive and Non-Automotive verticals, develop and grow each brand and build best in class relationships with all current and future Principals. New distribution or other business development opportunities should be sought for addition to the portfolio for incubation and growth.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
The job holder should be educated to university degree level (bachelor's or master's degree). A membership or qualification with a relevant industry body may be provided in substitution.

Minimum Experience:
The job holder should have a minimum 5 years industry experience in an equivalent and/or senior role.

Job-Specific Skills:
The job holder should have excellent business development, sales, customer relations and leadership skills. In addition, the job holder must communicate effectively with other senior managers, employees, partners and customers. Results oriented, entrepreneurial with strong problem solving, negotiation and decision making ability are key skills.

Positioning oneself as the senior member of the management team with the ability to manage the multi-level relationships that may exist.
