The RoleThe RoleThis Gulf based food giant is building a strategic team to drive forward sales and marketing across their food business in order to compete with giant western competitors in the global market. This Managing Director will head up this new team which will be responsible for initiating, developing and implementing a sales and marketing strategy / campaign across the entire business. This is a major project requiring a candidate with in-depth experience in the FMCG / Food industry at a senior management level. You will manage and work alongside two direct reports, a Sales Director and a Marketing Director. They will manage the sales and marketing aspects of the business respectively on the basis of the strategy / business plan that you put together. My client is looking to add value to their customers and their product portfolio and it will be your role to ensure that this happens. RequirementsRequirementsYour application for this position will only be considered if you have worked as a Managing Director or equivalent position within the FMCG industry. - You will need to demonstrate excellent strategy development / management experience and capability. - A background in sales and marketing with a strong understanding of brand management, brand development, distribution, FMCG sales and channel sales. - Experience within the Gulf region, Egypt, Syria or Lebanon with an understanding of the local culture in the UAE. - English / Arabic speaker. |
