Managing Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

A Leading project management company is looking for experienced Managing Quantity Surveyors to join their teams in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for the commercial management of the contracts within the commercial management team. This looks to include preparation of tenders, pre-contract measurement, post-contract measurement and claims.

Running the quantity surveying team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required standard.
Preparing tender document and bid evaluation documents and then give recommendations to the design and project site team.
Managing each senior quantity surveyor and make sure they run there section to the highest level.
Provide all the data to the commercial manager on the project.
Prepare all over all estimations for the department.
Reviewing and validating certifications from the contractor.
Claims analysis and then produce recommendation to the client.
Review all estimations from the consultant and the contractor.
Identifying document and coordinating with the design team/project site team to resolve potential issues.
Quantifying and estimating costs.
Participating in all contract negotiations.
Preparing, cost estimates for changes in the project.
Processing necessary changes in documentation.
Recommend changes to orders to the senior project manager.
Reviewing the commercial aspects of contract changes.
Contract interpretation.
Monthly cost reports.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Must have a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Preferably MRICS chartered or similar.
Must have 12+ years post qualification experience.
With 5 years experience in the Middle East.
Have strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have experience in retail project.
