OVERVIEW:
The Manufacturing Engineer/Reliability Engineer will be the lead person on product reliability to meet environmental, quality, regulatory, safety and cost objectives. Must have a Degree, a quality background and have working knowledge of FMEAs, 8-D approach, Kaizen, SPC.

ROLE:
The Reliability Engineer will proactively develop strategies and plans for robust design and implement quality and reliability in new and existing products, work on analyzing engineering and market product feedback, and provide technical support. The focus of this lead person will be on product reliability to meet environmental, quality, regulatory, safety and cost objectives commensurate with sustainability strategy.

Using robust and reliability design tools, develop new product strategies to meet and exceed market performance requirements and eliminate escapes
Report and analyze reliability KPI with regard to the HVAC products.
Lead and assist in the development of specifications, requirements, and test procedures to test and qualify individual components, systems, and
products.
Devise, develop, and implement cost effective reliability testing procedures and test setup
Provide technical support to the customers, distribution, operations, and process personnel on long term reliability of products
Work towards continuous improvement of reliability of HVAC products through the application of effective reliability strategies, root cause
analysis and team based problem solving and sound engineering practice
Conduct 8D or similar approaches to troubleshoot potential issues and design methods to prevent similar issues

Requirements

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
-Manufacturing industry background (ideally automotive or HVAC)
-Minimum of 5-10 years experience in a Quality environment
-Strong experience of FMEA, 8D, SPC, Kaizen, Six Sigma
-Working knowledge of the regulatory environment and organizations, such, as, ASHRAE, ARI, HTRI, ASME, or similar international organizations.
-Team player with the ability to lead and work in a matrix environment.
-Demonstrated success in program management, attention to details, and multi tasking ability
-Knowledge of statistical and reliability analyses tools and software
-Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills

DESIRABLE:
Experience of HVAC products
Middle East work experience
