The RoleThe RoleThe Marcomms Manager will be responsible for the overall marketing communications function including management & development of the brand positioning, the development of acquisition and customer retention marketing communications initiatives, the establishment and execution of brand communications style guidelines, providing direction into how to achieve overall business plan aims and objectives, and leading and managing a team of marketing professionals to deliver on their assigned responsibilities. They will work closely with the Executive and Senior Management team and their own direct reports to strategically drive all marketing comms plans for the business, from initial conception through to launch and maintenance. This role heads up a business function that must be leading edge & innovative in the extreme, and will push the boundaries. In addition they will: • Define brand awareness and communication objectives to service / meet customer acquisition and revenue targets • Be a cultural ambassador and expert in how the brand should come to life • Establish a mindset across the organization that fully integrates brand management with all 'go to market' efforts to ensure maximum impact on business objectives. . • Provide creative leadership in translating brand values into actionable marketing communications campaigns (both ATL and BTL) • Develop ‘go to market’ launch strategy (PR & Marketing Communications) • Implement advertising strategy, secure advertising channels and develop ‘go to market’ offline / online collateral • Lead end-to-end delivery of a variety of marketing communications projects • Establish and maintain the marketing communications campaign calendar • Design, develop and implement seasonal acquisition communications initiatives to help meet our volume targets • Own and manage the advertising & communications budget • Play a significant role in the business leadership team in driving the business • Oversee development and implementation of ongoing training on brand in collaboration with marketing & sales teams. |
RequirementsRequirements• Experience at senior level with a sustained record of achievement across both voice and multimedia data services. Significant experience in all aspects of brand management, through the line communications (offline ATL, BTL and online), budget management and campaign project management • Dynamic, passionate and accustomed to working in dynamic, fast moving and multicultural environments. Experienced in corporate and start-up working environments with a strong track record in identifying market opportunities and taking new propositions successfully to market • Expert in New Media (social networking, blogging, online and viral advertising) • A diplomatic and collaborative working style • Extremely strong communication skills – written and oral • Creative, imaginative….an out of the box thinker • Results orientated – Delivery focused & decisive • Ability to plan and meet objectives – “play to win” and “make it happen” • Ability to work autonomously in an unstructured environment • Strength of character, ability to stand up for own ideas, but also have the flexibility to accept others ideas • Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills with external & internal people • People orientated – a strong history of excellent people management |
