The RoleThe RoleOur client a leading leisure Marine Services company is looking for an Operation Manager / Workshop Manager based in Dubai. The company handles projects ranging from mechanical and electrical engineering to boat building and custom fabrication. The successful candidate will manage the individual departments being, Service, Fabrication, GRP, Upholstery, Carpentry, ensuring deadlines and accurate quote procedures. You will be working in a workshop environment and you will be responsible for a team of skilled workshop professionals. For this role you will have excellent man-management skills and will be involved staff development, training and hiring as well as ensuring all jobs are completed productively. In addition, you will manage suppliers and ensure the promotion of the company to try and get new business. |
RequirementsRequirementsYou will have the following experience: A proven capability of building, growing and managing all aspects of a client oriented Customer Service facility; Hands on technical experience; Capable of effective use of Microsoft Office - Other software an advantage, e.g. AutoCAD; Proven ability to manage a variety of skilled and semi skilled workers and ideally proven experience in managing a marine oriented business, hiring, staff development. |
