The RoleThe RoleWorking in a team of Civil Engineers and inspectors providing a comprehensive construction supervision service to our clients, this is a great opportunity for an engineer to gain additional experience within an internationally renowned consultant, affording the opportunity to work on a large scale marine projects. Responsibilities: Act as focal point for matters relating to marine engineering. Coordinate with Atkins Engineers and Architects. Coordinate with, instruct and supervise inspectors. Carry out checks of contractors work Be responsible for the correctness and accuracy of their own work. Complete supervision work within the agreed times. To coordinate with other design disciplines as required on a day-to-day basis or as set out by the project requirements |
RequirementsRequirementsTechnical Competencies: Essential Degree qualified minimum requirement of BEng Between 5 to 10 years experience working in the supervision of marine construction projects. Minimum 2 years experience in Middle East Contract administration experience including writing contractual correspondence Understanding of British, American and International design standards Understanding of civil engineering principles Good level of computer literacy in Windows and other Microsoft products an understanding of AutoCAD software is beneficial Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English Behavioural Competencies Essential Able to act on own initiative and operate in a proactive way Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential Ability when required to manage the workload of a team of more Junior Engineers/Inspectors |
