Location: Dubai

Job Purpose:
The Service Technician will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager in the day to day operations for Al-Futtaim Marine Service department. To be continuously striving to give the customer the best possible service and high level of work. Provide leadership on day-to-day operations of the service department, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals.
To maintain and re-stock necessary tooling as when required. To ensure customer satisfaction at all times. Maintain business relations with all customers of the Company. Represent / Participate in promotional activities and trade shows for Al-Futtaim Marine. To be aware of the other Marine companies and always strive on improving our approach. Maintain high level of appearance at all times.

Description:

* Contributing to the achievement of revenue, unit sales and customer engagement through effective sales process management, increasing customer retention and efficient distribution strategy.
* Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plans to approach and secure new business for the Division.
* Proactively manages customer requirements for on-time delivery taking into account lead-times, product specification changes and customer demand.
* Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with the key contacts within the Prime & Standby Power sectors
* Able to manage every element of the sales process on an individual level including projects
* Able to work and operate successfully within a operational management matrix structure while maintaining Franchise and FAMCO distributor standards, utilizing existing account management processes and reporting systems
* Collaborate closely with the OEM partners and product marketing managers on developing new products and services for our clients and end users.

Job Context:
Developing & selling a range of profitable products & Services for the Pleasure Craft Industry that suits the end users requirements. 2) Developing new clients from the Al-Futtaim Marine's key brands and prime waterside facilities. 3) To assist Al-Futtaim Marine in becoming the regions strongest Yacht Sales / Service Distributor. 4) To incumbent will have to work within a matrix organisation that manages the operations across markets through distributors, dealer and end user channels.  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Marine Engineering (Mechanical) trade tested or equivalent.
* Experience in mechanical equipment and fault finding.
* Experience in electrical equipment installations and fault finding.
* Experience in Inboard, outboard, shafts, gearboxes and propeller installations, IPS and Stern Drive Power Units
* Working understanding of Marine Electrical Systems, Marine Air-conditioning Units & Grey & Black Water Systems
* Full UAE Driving License

Minimum Experience:

* At least 6 year(s) of service experience in the Marine Industry required.

Behavioural Competencies:

Result-oriented, organized, analytical, attention to detail a must as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
