Market Insight Director

Job description / Role

1. Provides insight into development trends of the telecom industry and market, understands customer strategies and directions of development, identifies key issues and market leads that influence the medium- and long-term strategies of the company, and promotes decision-making.

2.Explores new industries for Huawei to enter in the region, helps new industries and business units in their initial development phases discuss business directions and solve key problems in implementation.

3.Manages market analysis consultations and cooperation, and builds a management mechanism to ensure effective sharing and circulation of consulting reports.

4. Independently carry out ad hoc research, take on ad hoc research projects, have one's research outputs quoted in related Charters, BPs, or other ad hoc reports, and be able to make independent judgments about development trends in the future.

Requirements

1. 10 years+ work experience in consultant company such as IDC/Gartner/Accenture, serve as an expert and be familiar with the telecom/IT technical principles, products, solutions, and development direction of corresponding domain, especially skillful in a specific field.

2. Be familiar with the telecom/IT market development history and latest market news of the industry, and investment direction of mainstream customers.

3. Be familiar with the corporate-level and business-level overall strategy, R&D, and market news of major competitors.

4. Establish several channels for obtaining information, master several analysis tools, be able to judge the market trend and competition status, provide how to beat policy.

5. Be able to carry out deep communication in the corresponding domain.

6. Be able to take charge of large customer communication activities.

7. Be able to propose the direction of research topics based on the corporate business development.

8. Act as the primary owner for topic research, be able to draft the topic research plan and master the key points of topic research according to the topic requirements.

9. Be able to voluntarily find solutions to key problems and difficulties encountered in the process of topic research.

10. Be able identify key information that is of large value to Huawei during the process of topic research and transfer the information to the right channels.

11. Provide constructive suggestions for the company to tackle business problems based on research achievements of corresponding domain.

12. Linguistics English: Fluent in Reading, Writing & Speaking.
