The Role


Reporting to the Manager Market Research, the Market Research Analyst manages the data analysis based on output from a range of qualitative and quantitative studies. He/She needs to liaise closely with the research associates to assure data output matches data needs.
The incumbent needs to have strong skills & experience in software packages including Business Objects, Excel and Access and hands-on experience with various Databases, data mining and statistical reports creation.
Assist consistency between data and research design
Develop templates for structuring data collection based on particular study design
Maintain team know-how base on quantitative and qualitative models
Selectively participate in conducting field research (esp. participation in customer interviewing in early stages to get perspective on data quality and interpretation)
Final quality control on raw data output of field work
Perform different kinds of quantitative analysis, e.g. multiple regression

Requirements


Requirements


University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Statistics with an interest in business related topics
Strong structuring and strong numerical skills
Ease in manipulating data, including advanced Excel and/or Access database skills (pivots, macros), at least some SPSS skills
Strong English language capabilities, at least readiness to pick up some Arabic language capabilities
Initial practical experience in a market research environment, preferably two to three years in a market research agency or a consulting firm
