Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Market Specialist - Middle East - Adhesives & Coatings

- Assess & understand the local markets: mapping of key industries (e.g. construction, transportation) and players, target applications, supply chain, volumes and competitive landscape.
- Understand local customer needs & requirements and manage the LORD product portfolio to match these needs
- Implement adapted market entry strategies for the LORD product portfolio in close collaboration with the European group
- Identify and prioritize the right business opportunities and formulate recommendations to capture new / additional business
- Identify potential new target customers & channel partners
- Strong support of local sales team:
-Qualify potential leads to prepare for the sales action
-Lead business development initiatives
-Manage communication and event planning in the region
-Establish price lists
-Support with order management
-Conduct customer satisfaction surveys
- Manage logistics and supply chain: set up a logistic channel to serve direct customers & distributors, ensure smooth material import & supply

Objectives:
- Assessment & development of local markets for the LORD product portfolio
- Identification of new business opportunities in the Middle East
- Development of the right marketing strategy to enter & grow the market in the Middle East

Travel requirements: Middle East, Europe

Requirements

University Qualifications: Bachelor or Master Degree in Marketing, Business, Chemical Engineering

Nature and length of previous experience:
- 5 years experience in a Marketing or Business Development role in the Middle East region (eg. chemical industry, tier supplier)

Specialist knowledge:
- Chemical product knowledge (eg. adhesives, coatings)
- Strong knowledge of local market and customs

Soft Skills and Personality traits:
- Strong ability to collect, analyze and document quantitative & qualitative market & customer data from various sources
- Exceptional communication skills
- Highly proactive and self-organized, independent individual
- Strong customer orientation; business developer mentality
- Understanding of sales process
- Ability to create and deliver effective marketing & product presentations
- Ability to train the sales force / distributors on new products

Gender Preference: male

Language Fluency: English: excellent written and oral communication skills; Arabic is an advantage
