Our client is a global network of sports channels with headquarters across the Middle East, France, Indonesia and the US is currently undergoing significant executive talent growth given its formation in 2012. The firm currently operates and provides services across the Middle East, North Africa, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand. The Executive Team are now looking to recruit a Marketing Communications Manager to their Marketing team to develop, manage and implement our client’s firms regional B2C marketing activity, in accordance with the firm’s Marketing and Publicity strategy for the MENA Region.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and managing a high performing marketing team; this role is responsible for the following:

• Develop and implement B2C marketing strategies for the firm to support the achievement of overall corporate strategy and key business objectives.
• Address the specific marketing and publicity needs across the regions to support channel strategies and initiatives in the region.
• Manage the implementation and evaluation of key regional Above The Line (ATL), Below The Line (BTL) and Through The Line (TTL) integrated marketing campaigns within agreed budgets/timescales and in accordance with approved marketing & publicity strategy for the firm’s MENA operations.
• Determine relevant marketing and publicity opportunities to raise audience awareness of the firm in the MENA region and drive subscription and viewership within key markets and target audiences.
• Develop B2C marketing and promotional strategies and oversee the execution and distribution of the marketing and promotional materials.
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of trends and developments across market areas and the field of Publicity and marketing, ensuring these are considered during planning and implementation.
• Identify, assess and commission credible regional publicity, advertising, media planning, digital and creative agencies through the implementation of a fair and competitive tender process according to the firm’s procurement and/or commissioning policies such as the Table of Financial Authorities (TOFA).
• Produce a quarterly and annual regional activity reports detailing regional marketing and publicity achievements, results, and evaluation, whilst continuously updating the report when needed as per implemented media coverage, campaigns and events.

Requirements

The attributes we seek for suitably qualified candidates comprise:

• Bachelor in Marketing, Communications or Business related field with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a Marketing/Branding role preferably within the broadcast and/or media industry.
• Bilingual in English and Arabic essential, with French desirable also.
• Knowledge and understanding of the role of marketing and publicity in the planning and development of strategy as well as experience in the needs Sports MENA audiences and of the value / role / limitations of audience research in assessing these factors.
• Exposure to marketing practices and techniques including market trends, marketing and promotional trends is also required.
• The ability to deliver a diversity of projects within deadlines and budgets and to devise, plan and implement effective regional marketing and publicity is essential. Further experience with analysis of a range of statistical information is essential.
• Candidates must have be highly innovative and be able to deliver and evaluate results.
• Experience with Creative, media planning and engaging digital marketing tools is also required.
