The Marketing Communications Manager creates, cultivates, and acts as a driver and guardian for the brand and voice of the Company. The primary purpose of this position is to increase awareness and enhance the reputation of the Company.

The ideal candidate will have four to seven years of proven experience in marketing communications and public relations in a corporate environment to shape the thinking of target audiences in ways that successfully support the external and internal communication needs of the businesses.

Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, developing and implementing all of the Organizations marketing communications strategy and public relations activities, both externally and internally.

Primary relationships:
The position reports to the COO. This position participates with the Executive Management Team in charting the direction of the company. The Marketing Communications Managers is also responsible for the sourcing, selection and management of external agencies that work for our Company such as PR, advertising, creative, social media and any other appointed parties.

Principle responsibilities:
1. Develop strategic communications plans in close cooperation with the senior management to influence external and internal audiences and achieve business goals.
2. Deploy modern, cutting edge, e-marketing and content management strategies and activities in support of business goals.
3. Lead the implementation of e-marketing tactics and messages in the business websites and portals, both external and internal.
4. Create and deploy internal communications to motivate employee engagement and commitment
5. Write, edit and place success stories in the Company's internal and external communication vehicles
6. Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing communications and public relations program that will enhance the companys image and position within the marketplace, and facilitate internal and external communications.
7. Ensure articulation of Organizations desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the organization, and assure communication of image and position to all stakeholders, both internal and external.
8. Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Organization collateral.
9. Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
10. Act as the Organizations representative with the media.
11. Coordinate the appearance of all Organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Marketing: Oversee and guide the development and execution of external marketing activities, such as but not limited to creating b2b events and participating in industry events and seminars. Includes strategic brand management, social marketing and design and production of all marketing materials.
- Public Relations: Create, execute, and track media communications strategy to increase visibility and awareness of the Company.
- External Communications: Manage all external communications activities for the Company. Develop strategic communications plans, including pro-active efforts to highlight and promote the companys goals and successful work.
- Internal Communications: Develop, implement, and measure internal employee communications strategy.
- Social Media: Manage all social media efforts for the Company, including growing the number of followers on social media platforms, creating editorial content and advertisements.

Organizational strategy:
- Work with senior management to develop and maintain a strategic perspective to ensure the overall health and vitality of the Organization.
- Help make sure that the Organizations philosophy; mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization.
- Help formulate and administer policies to ensure the integrity of the Organization.
- Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel.
- Design, support and oversee cross-functional teams throughout the Organization.

Requirements

- Business to business communications experience (4-7 years)
- At least 3-4 of that in a corporate environment.
- Demonstrable writing skills.
- BA/BS in Communications/Journalism or related field is a must.
- MBA/MA/MS a plus.
- Ability to develop marketing communications plans from business plans, and work with business partners (sales, marketing, technical, legal) to manage development, implementation and evaluation of marketing communications plans.
- Demonstrable experience in media relations, including development and distribution of news releases.
- Experience managing communications.
- Demonstrated success at interacting effectively with all levels of an organization as well as external audiences (media) to create effective communications.
- High initiative, self-starter with strong project management skills and proven ability to work effectively under pressure and a heavy workload.
- Experience in managing outside agencies and vendors.
- Highly collaborative team player.
- Understanding of Social Media tactics and strategies.
- Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
